July - Goals Review

Here's a look back at the month of July. A lot happened in July which made things interesting from a goals standpoint. Birthday, Anniversary, two triathlons, NCAA soccer officials fitness test, 206 mile bike-ride from Simpsonville to Beaufort, and an entire month of EDUcamp at BJU.

Daily Goals for July
  • Read the Psalm & Proverb of the day (Psalm 61+date). - DONE
  • Read Philippians 1-2. - DONE
  • Read a few pages of another book. - DONE; missed a couple days
  • Take Fish Oil, Magnesium, Vitamin C, Zinc, and Probiotics. - DONE; missed one day
  • Drink Celsius energy drink. - DONE
  • Drink at least 1 gallon of water. - almost done; missed several days
  • Eat 3 eggs+spinach for breakfast or fast (optional protein shake). - DONE
  • Eat protein shake or salad for lunch when home or salad/protein-rich meal out. - almost done; ate more quantity at home than I should have
  • Eat one plate of food for dinner (that Fleur prepares) when home or salad/protein-rich meal out. - almost done; ate more quantity at home than I should have
  • Avoid rice, pasta, bread, croutons, cereal, potatoes, oatmeal, and other simple carbs (unless carb-loading for race or extended workout). - DONE
  • Eat only hard-boiled eggs or raw vegetables between meals (no salad dressing or peanut butter). - mostly done; had more peanut butter than I should have
  • Eat blueberries only in protein shake and gu gels/banana before/during 2+ hour workout. - DONE
  • Do some form of exercise each day. - DONE except when recovering

Monthly Goals for July:
  • Read/Listen to all Job and Isaiah. - DONE
  • Complete 72 hour liquid fast (no solid foods) or 36 hour water fast. - DONE
  • Enjoy 5 free meals (banquets, special occasions). - DONE
  • Reduce weight to 157. - DONE; but back up after hitting this low
  • 20 Days completing workout routine. - mostly done; missed several days while recovering from larger efforts
    • 3 minutes - plank
    • 2 minutes - hanging from bar
    • 200 push-ups
    • Complete Weight-training / Stretching / Cardio workout

Yearly 252 Goals:
1. Spiritual: Memorize the first two chapters of Philippians.
2. Physical: Complete a Half-Ironman in under 5 hours.
3. Relational: Eat a one on one meal with each of my sons and my wife at least once a month. 
4. Intellectual: Write a reflection post here each week.
