It's remarkable how quickly time passes the older one gets. I remember being a child and feeling how slowly the months ticked by until my next birthday or Christmas. Now, as an adult I am astounded how quickly yet another new year is here; and I echo the prayer of Moses in Psalm 90:12 where he prays, "So teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom." The brevity of our life should direct us to the preciousness of our days and motivate us to pursue a wise investment of those days.
By God's grace, these are a few things I plan to pursue in 2024: 252 Goals 1. Spiritual: Memorize the first two chapters of Philippians 2. Physical: Complete a Half-Ironman in under 5 hours 3. Relational: Eat a one on one meal with each of my sons and my wife at least once a month 4. Intellectual: Write a reflection post here each week In addition, I am being very diligent in the month of January to start the year off and build a foundation for the rest of the year.
